History is about to repeat itself…

LOGLINE:

A Tarot reader’s reclusive life is thrown into turmoil when she foresees the premature and violent demise of a new client: one who may be the reincarnation of her first love.

SYNOPSIS:

When Matt, a young student, comes to psychic, Deborah, for a reading, he provokes upheaval in her ritualized and isolated life. Unnerved by Matt’s almost identical physical and spiritual resemblance to her first love, Jamie, who died in a brutal car crash only she survived, Deborah is horrified when the cards reveal the recurrence of another savage, untimely death lying ahead in Matt’s fast-approaching future.

Deborah’s instinct is to protect the boy, but the laws of the Psychic community forbid mediums from intervening in the lives of clients no matter what the predicament. An even older and higher law that remains unchallenged warns that if a medium abuses his or her psychic abilities to alter another being’s fate, the Universe will turn against the perpetrator and seize their life. Retribution follows disruption of the natural order.

Is Matt’s impending peril a chance for Deborah to redeem the tragedy from long ago? Or will she be compelled to stand back and suffer as she lets an innocent, who perhaps is her first love reborn, face a preventable death? As the searing guilt and trauma from a repressed past emerge and engulf her, Deborah must uncover an insidious curse and decipher the Spirit World’s signs in order to find her own path and make an ultimate choice: Sacrifice herself, or live.
